Learn to stitch in the modern style using stitching irons that rely far less on the awl. Even with the absence of the awl, the saddle stitch still commands a high level of skill. During this course you will examine the principles of the saddle stitch and the balance of what you are trying to achieve against what the thread is trying to do. Thread priority, casting, left and right hand stitching, back stitching and double pricking will all be examined. By the end of the day, your stitching will be much improved, but more importantly, you will understand why.
