Group Leatherworking Courses in Staffordshire
Learning in a group can be a sociable and rewarding way to develop your skills, while also making tuition more affordable. You can exchange ideas, discuss projects and learn from the questions and experiences of other students.
The workshop’s 16-foot by 5-foot bench provides ample room to spread out and work comfortably. You are welcome to bring your own tools; Nigel can check how they are performing and offer practical guidance on their use.

Saddle Stitching Course

1 Day Course
Level: Beginner – Intermediate
How good is your stitching? Is it good enough?
Think of your stitching like the frame of a beautiful painting.
When it is done well, it becomes part of the whole. But when done poorly, it stands out and becomes a distraction.
Good stitching is critical.
It is the one part of our build that can quickly let an item down. Equally, it can elevate an item beyond function alone.
It is not there to just hold your pieces of leather together, it is a statement, a demonstration of skill and in some cases, a signature.

Box Stitching Course
Monday 8th to Friday 12th February 2027
5 Day Course
Level: Confident Intermediate to Advanced
On this course, you will learn how to design, measure, cut and stitch a full leather box, you will learn about reverse irons, mitred cuts, stitching between fixed points, template making, leading and dragging your irons, leather choice and tool selection.
You will gain a clear understanding of the required skills and be better equipped to develop independently.
This is not a course for beginners, you will need to have a good command of the saddle stitch and your measuring and cutting will need to be of a high standard.
