A perfect Course for budding pouch and bag makers.
Pouches and Bags are excellent items to add to your repertoire but we can easily get lost in the seemingly endless design process.
Working to the belief that we need to know every last detail about our item, height, width, depth, bend, flap etc, can actually slow us down. we end up trawling the internet for elusive answers and insparation.
This course gives you tried and tested formulas that can have you designing a bag in minuets instead of hours whilst still making them your own.
One day is not enough to cover all of this and actually make the item.
However, you will leave with a template and knowing how to use it.
Course Content
During this course, you will learn how to create a template set using a specific set of formulae.
Once the basic principles are understood and followed, making a bag becomes almost simple and extremely quick.
You then have the foundation on which you can add your own style or personality.
Along with this, core skills such as, Measuring, Cutting, Pattern Making, Stitching, Creasing and Edge Dressing will be covered.
Who is this course for?
This is an ideal course for the an early adept wanting to get into pouch making or adepts who are looking to expand their skillset into bag making.
A simple Short Gusset Pouch can be achieved by someone with only the basic understanding in just a day. However, should you already be well into your leather working journey a course covering the more complex techniques and gussets would be ideal.
What is included
During your day, all materials, tools and sundries are supplied to enable you to get the most from your day.
There are no additional costs or fees.
Lunch
Lunch will be at 1, no lunch is provided so please bring provisions.Â

Tea and coffee are bottomless, the coffee is good and brewed fresh.

The course runs from 9am to 4pm with a break for lunch at 1.
Cancellation Policy
If you have booked a course and need to cancel, you are able to do so at any point up to 14 days prior to the date booked to be eligible for a full refund.
If you need to cancel within 14 days of the course, no refund will be given but alternative dates may be offered. Should you be unable to attend or have to cancel within 24hours of the course. alternative dates will be offered at a 50% reduction of the original course.
If you do think you will be unable to make it, please let me know as soon as possible.
If, having rescheduled a course you are again unable to attend, prior notice of 14 days or more will enable a refund less 25% administration fee.
If cancelled less than 14 days before the rescheduled course date then no refund will be given. In exceptional circumstances a third course date may be offered at the discretion of Armitage leather.
