Beginner Leatherworking Course
A full day of one-to-one leatherworking tuition with Nigel
Whether you are a complete beginner or have already tried leatherworking, this one-to-one course provides a practical introduction to the craft.
Whatever you hope to make, you will need the core skills. Learning them correctly at the beginning gives you a sound foundation for every future project.
Drawing on 40 years at the bench, Nigel will guide you through the fundamentals of working with leather and explain not only how each technique works, but why and when it is used.
One day is enough for you to get a feel for the craft, however, this is a skill based course and no specific item will be worked on or completed.
During the day, you will cover the core skills needed to continue developing independently:
- Tool Selection and Use
- Leather Selection Â
- Design and Template Making
- Measuring, Marking and Cutting Leather
