Group Box Making Course
Reach a higher level in your craft with box making
This is without doubt one of the more rewarding courses, it’s level of detail is quite intense, but by the same token it is very satisfying.
On this course, you will learn how to design, measure, cut and stitch a full leather box. you will learn about reverse irons, mitred cuts, stitching between fixed points, template making, leading and dragging your irons, leather choice and tool selection.
The level of precision required is high, rather than getting two or three pieces of flexible leather to fit together, you will need to manage 20 pieces for a full box.
The course will cover the correct measuring for both internal and external aspect of boxes, a detail useful when making boxes for a specific purpose.
You will gain a clear understanding of the required skills and be better equipped to develop independently.
This is not a course for beginners, you will need to have a good command of the saddle stitch and your measuring and cutting will need to be of a high standard.
