In the workshop, space for you to learn is an important factor, the 16 foot long, 5 foot wide bench, is large enough for you to have ample space to spread out and work in comfort.

On this course you will benefit from Nigel’s vast experience in bag making, he has spent many years developing a number of formulas to assist in the design and measuring of bags which will be at the core of this course.
On this course you will not only learn how to stitch, but why we stitch a certain way, how that stitching style can be adapted and where it can be applied. Stitching is a critical part of the construction of any item, doing it well is not optional. Both the modern and traditional styles will be covered.
On this course, you will learn how to design, measure, cut and stitch a full leather box. you will learn about reverse irons, mitred cuts, stitching between fixed points, template making, leading and dragging your irons, leather choice and tool selection.
The level of precision required is high, rather than getting two or three pieces of flexible leather to fit together, you will need to manage 20 pieces for a full box.
