Box Making Level 1 Tubs

Learn the art of box making with round leather boxes

This is without doubt one of the more rewarding courses, it’s level of detail is quite intense, but by the same token it is very rewarding.

The level of precision required is much higher as you will be creating an cylinder, an inner cylinder and capping these off working to fine tolerances on the round.
The course will cover the correct measuring for both internal and external aspect of tubs. A detail useful when making boxes for a specific purpose.

You will gain a clear understanding of the required skills and be better equipped to develop independently.
One day is not enough to make a completed tub. Should you want to make a full tub with a lid, three days would be required.

During the course you will cover such skills as: Design, Template Making, Stitch Marking, Cutting Circles, the correct use and placement of Reverse Irons, Under Cutting, Use of an Awl, Box Stitching for Butted Seams, Loosing Stitches on the Round, Dressing and finishing.
